A1 Complete Builders Ltd specialises in cob and lime work, helping to repair and preserve traditional buildings across Cornwall and South Devon. Based in Higher Fraddon and established in 2000, our family-run team works with homeowners and those responsible for historic properties, including in the Truro area.

Our core services include cob wall repairs, lime rendering and lime plastering, alongside building conservation and restoration. From damaged cob walls to the renovation of a traditional Cornish cottage, we use materials and techniques suited to the existing building.

We specialise in sympathetic restoration and renovation work on a variety of properties from small cottages up to large Grade 2 listed buildings. We are also Cob Repair Work and Lime Putty Rendering specialists and have many years of experience working with these materials.

Communication has always been a real strength of both Keith and his team and I have always felt up-to-date with work progress from both Keith but also the guys working on site, all of whom have been really great.

A detailed schedule of work and costings were provided from the outset and this was for the most part kept to and if necessary, updated. Any potential changes to work schedules and costings were always well communicated to me before hand from both Abbie and Keith  and all the options were well presented so I could make informed decisions.

The quality of work I have seen from the team has been excellent and we are now living in a wonderful newly renovated cottage which maintains the charm that it has held in the past as well as being a comfortable place to live in for the future. In particular, the fixes made to the previously deteriorating cob work as well as the lime rendering finish have been carefully and painstakingly completed to an extremely high standard, and one in which we are very happy with.

This has been a complete renovation from a very dated and in some parts unstable farm cottage. Keith and his team have all worked tirelessly to help renovated our perfect home. We would 100% recommend A1 Complete builders.
